2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang Auctioned Off for Charity
Madico Window Films recently participated in an exciting charity project sponsored by The Ford Motor Company©. Ford donated and auctioned off their brand new 2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang to raise money for the EAA Young Eagles program. The car was auctioned off on July 31 during the Gathering of Eagles charity event at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh 2014, of which Ford is the exclusive sponsor.
Madico’s contribution included the donation of our Amber 81 film as well as the installation costs. The film was used as part of the restyled aftermarket accessory package to give the windows a gold hue. The unique Mustang draws design cues from the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II aircraft, the new joint forces strike fighter.
The auction generated over $200,000 for the EAA program which has provided free introductory flights to more than 1.8 million young people since 1992, helping inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders, aviators and innovators.
